YRYM HT barbecue grill mats are good for about 5 or 6 washings before food starts to stick and they become harder to get clean. But I have to say I love them and will keep buying them because they stop flare-ups from charring your food on the grill. You still get all your grill marks and these are especially good for fish. Just accept the fact that you're only going to use each sheet 5 or 6 times if you don't want your food to stick. They are still worth more than they cost! In addition to cooking more evenly over the original mats that made these so popular these are a dream to clean up. Very happy with purchase. Just do it.
I use YRYM HT barbecue grill mats on my gas grill, which I cook on 3 or 4 times a week. I've had the grill for over three years, and the heat-spreading plate below the grill bars is almost gone. These mats help replace that feature for very low cost. No, you cannot wipe off the residue in a moment with a paper towel after each use. If you could, you'd never need more than one. I find it does clean more easily if I spray it with oil before use, but, depending on what you're cooking, that may not be be something you want to do. Generally, the longer something has to be on the heat, the harder it is to clean. Steak, chops and shrimp are no problem, chicken, well.... I wipe off as much residue as I can with paper towels, then use hot water and ordinary dish detergent. Also, the grill marks do appear sometimes, but they're not reliable, and again, depend on what you're cooking. That said, I get over a month out of each mat, which I make at about 20-25 uses, or about a dime every time. I use one side until it is no longer cleanable, then use the other until I have to get rid of it. Just ordered two more boxes, expect to hold off on buying that new grill until next year.
I love YRYM HT grill cooking mat. I lay them on the racks for quick toasting in the oven and I line my cookie sheet with them. They wash very easily. We have been using one of these on our gas BBQ for a few weeks now. We BBQ every day and often have to deal with grease fire and a messy grille. These mats eliminate all that. Haven't had a fire since I started using these and no more scraping the grille after cooking. The grill cooking mat cleans up easily and we are still on our first one. I never thought that they would last this long. cleaning is challenging but rest it works great. Works as advertised, creates grill marks on all foods cooked on this mat. Best of all, No more messy grill grates!
