Easy to use grill mat; came with basting brushes as well, which was a nice touch. Eco-friendly compared to endless sheets of aluminum foil! Definitely a little messy to clean (what else would you expect?) but it does clean up relatively easily and the reusable factor is a big plus for me. The first time I used these I cooked dogs and burgers on an infrared gas grill with wood chips for some smoke flavor. No problems with flare-ups. The food cooked evenly. Nice grill marks. One unexpected problem was accumulation of grease from the burgers on the mat. The grease collected in pools and burned if it wasn’t dabbed up occasionally with a wad of paper towel. I didn’t get nearly as much smoke flavor as I expected. I think the mat blocked it away from the meat. These are cheap enough that I use them, scrape them off and use a 2nd time, flip over and use a 3rd time and throw away. Personally too lazy to wash them. Plus if you do it in the dishwasher it makes all your nice dishes a mess. Don’t tell any dads you use grill mags, you’ll get made fun of.
Copper grill mat is a must for every household grill. Now I am not afraid of burning my stuff. I can do anything else while doing BBQ. My husband loves these grill mats. It just makes it so much easier to barbeque and they are so easy to clean. Great purchase! There’s nothing to dislike about this product. Very easy to use; just roll out and use. Please make sure you let it heat up before cooking on it. The one thing that I would like to see if it could drain the throw off better. I’ll keep using the fine product. These are MUCH better than having no mat when it comes to cleanup, as scrubbing the grill is a huge chore, but they aren't as easy to clean as I'd hoped or as promised. I had to soak them for a long time and still put in some elbow grease to get them clean again. If you use marinades, they especially take time to wash. I’ve bought these multiple times. We use them every time we grill. Quality is excellent and easy to clean.
I've only used babrecue grill mats one time so far, for burgers. They worked great at keeping my grill clean. I wish I would have discovered these long ago. The burgers did not stick to these. They were super easy to clean. And there was NOTHING on my grill to clean. I used it on a Traeger grill. These mats are awesome!! I can grill anything on the bbq now with this product. I can cook anything on these. Itis super easy to clean. Just wipe them down with soap and done. Much easier than cleaning the grill. It definitely makes grilling easier and cleaner. Highly recommended for all bbq, enthusiasts. We love these mats for grilling on public grills. They also keep our personal grill from getting gross. We typically get 3 or 4 uses out of each mat. I AM USING ONE IN MY OVEN AND THE OTHER IS ON MY BBQ---KEEPS THINGS CLEAN AND SAVES CLEAN UP TIME. HAPPY WITH MINE......TED .
After several uses they are harder to clean so we toss them. We don’t barbecue a lot so we can afford to do it. However we absolutely love them. I've tried these mats and found them to be decent. Just ok. They are quite capable of preventing food from sticking to them but they're not as easily cleaned as they are touted to be. I even soaked mine for some time after using them and there are areas that are still difficult to clean the char marks off. They are pretty good as a non stick surface. Works like middle of the road grill mat. Edges fray a little bit. My husbands grill is clean all the time now. (He's obsessive about his clean grill) We use and wash and clean the mats about 4 times before we chuck em. The food cooks exactly as if it were on the grill. Worth the money for us.
