I am a smoker lover, and I have never used butcher paper to bbq with but noticed it on a cooking site, many buyers said the butcher paper was sooo much better than foil. Then I order the butcher paper roll from YRYM HT store at Amazon. Delivery was quick.
The butcher paper roll worked great, did a brisket and it kept the moistier without loosing the bark (wrap it in this after you reach 165, stick it back on the bbq until 205). The only knock on this over other brands is it does not come with a case to store it in, but not a huge biggie. Used it on some ribs for the last half of the smoke. Will agree its better than foil. Look forward to trying more. Really soaks up the grease. The butcher paper is a must have product for barbecue.
Used the brown butcher paper for the first time with ribs and loved the tenderness and the way it soaked up a lot of the extra grease. Smoked for 2 hours, wrapped and put back in the 225 smoker for another hour, put them in the fridge overnight and put them on the grill to finish them with sauce the next day. While it allows the smoke to get in, it also holds the juices with the meat and the results is pinky pulling brisket. I loved them but even better, the friends who I had prepared them for were pleasantly surprised at how good they were. I use this now to exclusively wrap items on the smoker as the means to avoid excessive exposure to aluminum foil. The paper is well constructed and goes a long way, considering the amount provided. Very happy with this purchase!
I have yet to try this paper during a smoking session, I have researched enough to feel confident using this for my ribs and brisket. I have also given some of my coworkers who smoke a few yards of my roll so sometime in the near future I hope to have them purchase their own roll.
Used butcher paper for the a few times and found this product to be wonderful. It stood up to the grill temperature and left the brisket with a nice bark even after 4 hours of rest in the cooler . Great buy! Paper came next day due to Amazon prime. Very please with speed of the whole process. Smoked a brisket over the weekend first time i have wrapped one since i dont like foil. Worked great, Brisket was perfect!!! Does what you need it to. Also great for keeping things clean while preparing everything and letting a rub settle before throwing on the smoke.
