I think the BBQ grill mat is great if you are making vegetables or fish on the grill but for a steak.We used the grill mat when making some steaks and it does maintain the heat pretty well, meaning the mat distributed the heat evenly, and the steaks have the traditional grill marks. No more burnt anything on the grill. Works like a charm! Plan to buy some as presents too! Great product! I use these mats on my gas grill. I was a bit leary at first, but my burgers were great and the clean up was just the mat - not the grill! I look forward to trying vegetables on them. I think I will try them on my cookie sheet the next time I bake cookies.
These YRYM HT BBQ Grill Mat works exactly as advertised. I had my doubts that they would transfer the heat from the grill and actually make grilled lines in the food above, but they do. The other feature that I like is the grilled product does not dry out like it does when grilling directly on the grates because the juices cradle the food wile cooking. I also found the clean up of the mats after use was remarkably easy. Overall a very good product and recommend highly. Awesome non stick grill mat! I don't have to worry about things falling through the cracks and makes clean up a ton easier! Great product idea. We bought these to use on the communal grill since most people didn't clean the grills after use. We still use it even with our own grill. Great for fish and veggies.
Have used the non stick grill mat to bake potatoes, tater tots and cookies in the oven so far. Also grilled chicken cutlets on an outside electric grill. With all of these, the best part was the clean up (or lack of). Everything slides right off and there's nothing left to scrape off the grill or oven rack. Takes a little getting used to, but once you experiment with them a bit, should be awesome. The tots didn't cook very well the first time (mat on rack only). The next time, I put the tots on the non stick grill mat that was on a cookie sheet. Much better. Great price and Prime Shipping. Highly Recommended.
Several Years Ago I bought the "As Seen on TV" equivalent and have been loving the non stick grill mat over the years - When you have a BBQ and are cooking something (like Chicken or Sausages) that take a bit of time and you want to avoid Flare-Ups, then this is THE solution - I also have found that more delicate items like Fish benefit greatly by using the BBQ grill mat and just put a little oil on it and then the Fish and BINGO - great results. I loved that there were 5 pieces because I always wanted a second one so I could cover the entire Grill, Plus my friend was so impressed by the results that I gave him One to take Home ! Love Them AND - If you have one hanging around that you are not planning to use immediately I recommend put it on the bottom of your Oven to catch the drips - I did and now my wife does not complain when I make a cobbler and it overflows because the matt catches the mess and is easy to clean !
